Mazarrón returns to be synonymous these days of sport and again in a national event.
From this Wednesday until Sunday, January 27, five regional selections under 19 and under 16 of futsal compete in the preliminary phase of the Spanish Indoor Soccer Championship.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, has attended the opening of the championship in charge of the selections of La Rioja and the Canary Islands.
The mayor stressed "the importance of an event that helps to deseasonalise the tourist offer of the municipality with the consequent benefit that this generates to the hospitality sector".
Also, for Alicia Jiménez "Mazarrón returns to show its projection as a stage to host sporting events".
The inaugural match was also attended by the Councilor for Sports, Patricio Sánchez, and the chairman of the Futsal Committee of the Region of Murcia, Luciano Herrero.
Navarra and Ceuta Sub 19 complete the picture of clashes this Wednesday.
For this Thursday the first match of the Murcia National Team is scheduled.
It will be at 11:00 in the La Aceña Pavilion.
