The Universidad del Mar will teach two new courses this summer in Mazarrón (02/05/2019)

The International University of the Sea (UNIMAR) in collaboration with the City of Mazarrón has organized two new summer courses at its headquarters in Mazarrón for the coming months of June and July.

The activity was presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the director of UNIMAR, Mercedes Bernabé, together with the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez and the directors of the courses taught by Elena Macías and Miguel Ángel Ruiz.

The first courses will be held from June 17 to 21 under the title of 'The reality of rare diseases: those great unknown'.

Directed by Miguel Ángel Ruiz, it is intended for university students and professionals in the health and education field, volunteers and relatives of people with rare diseases, as well as people interested in this field of action.

The objectives of this course are to know in a comprehensive manner what are the rare or minority diseases and the current situation of their management at regional and national level, as well as to equip the participants with skills to be able to interact with people with rare diseases and their families and specialize students in the face of selection processes in the rare diseases sector.

The second course will take place from July 16 to 18 and is entitled 'Another way of learning?

Yes. Alternative pedagogical models in Infant, Primary and Secondary.

Directed by Elena Macías and Sonia Carrera, it is aimed at undergraduate students and students of the Master for Secondary Teachers, future teachers of Infant and Primary, teachers and teachers, as well as parents interested in knowing how to participate actively in schools.

The objectives of the course are to present the different pedagogical models applicable both in primary and secondary schools and in secondary schools, to know the educational systems of other countries, to equip students with methodological tools that can be used to prepare projects and solve problems in the classroom, compare traditional methodologies with alternative methodologies, put into practice the presented methodologies and analyze their positive or negative aspects and create a meeting space to encourage reflection and theoretical and methodological updating in the field of early childhood education and secondary

The deadlines for both courses remain open.

Both courses will be held at the Casa del Mar in Puerto de Mazarrón.
