This morning a meeting coordinated by Civil Protection and SEM has taken place in the City Council of Mazarrón, attended by representatives of the services companies that work for and with the session such as Facsa, Aqualia, Orthem, Actúa and Bahía de Mazarrón - Urban Engineering, which has had the presence of the area councilor, Tomás Ureña, and the second deputy mayor, Plácida Gómez.
During the same, Ureña, Gómez and the director of Civil Protection and SEM, Pedro Hernández, have announced the measures taken yesterday by the City Council before the red alert for heavy rains activated by the AEMET throughout the Autonomous Community, a situation that is produced for the first time in the history of the Region of Murcia.
Those responsible have also been able to know first hand the areas to which special attention should be paid for being easily flooded, such as Bahía urbanization in Puerto de Mazarrón, specific sectors of Camposol and the channel and edges of the Las Moreras waterfront.
Each person in charge has exposed the measures that are being carried out in their companies to face this episode of rains and have coordinated with Civil Protection and SEM to make available to the City Council the greatest number of effective and material means possible.
In this regard, add that all the personnel of the fire station of Mazarrón are also prepared and coordinated by a sergeant who has been sent especially for this device that also includes Local Police, Civil Guard and Red Cross Mazarrón.
