This past Sunday, the sports facilities of the neighborhood of La Cañadica hosted the celebration of the 12 Regional Petanque Hours organized by the Club of Petanque Mazarrón 'Costa Cálida' with the collaboration of the City Council of Mazarrón.

The Councilor for Sports, Francisco José García, was responsible for delivering the trophies of the competition.

The champion team of the event was the Petanque Club 'Virgen de la Paz' in Alcantarilla, which won the women's team of the Petanque Club 'Las Salcedas' in Las Torres de Cotillas.

The winning team was composed of Diego Mayor, Ventura Mayor, Pedro Antonio Pérez and José Ramírez;

while for 'Las Salcedas' competed María Isabel Bosque, Dolores García, María Encarnación Alcolea and Catalina Soriana.

The third and fourth place was taken by two teams of the Petanque Club Mazarrón 'Costa Cálida'.

In third place were Pedro Fernando Muñoz, José Andreo Molina, Juan Antonio Iglesias and Bernardo Medrano who made up the team 'C' the club mazarronero.

Finally, in fourth place were Antonio Ruiz, Juan Ruiz, Alberto Rodríguez and Juan Garro representing the team 'E' of the organizing club.
