The current president of the Association Musical Maestro Eugenio Calderon Ureña Francisca Sanchez, receive next March 6 the woman Mazarron Award 2016. This appointment was released Thursday by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, in a ceremony held in the Plenary Hall of the town hall in the presence of the Councillor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz, and representatives of municipal associations who have participated in the appointment.
The award recognizes the social and cultural work of Ureña Francisca Sanchez in front of the Musical Association part since 2000 and as president since 2002. The mayor, Alicia Jiménez, congratulated, on behalf of all citizens of the municipality , the new Mazarron woman by this appointment and has proceeded to read his extensive resume which highlights its cultural vocation and dedication to public life as a councilor for two terms.
Francisca Ureña has a degree in Education from the University of Murcia.
He has been a teacher in Adult Education.
He was partner-founder of the association "The Skylight" and has participated in literacy programs and college preparatory for over 25 years.
He currently combines his dedication to Maestro Eugenio Calderon Music Association with research on the local history of early and mid-twentieth century.
The result of this, in 2015 he created the association "Alumbra alum, Mazarrón history and memory".
The new Mazarron Woman had words of thanks to the Consistory and the participating associations and noted that it is an honor and a responsibility, especially to remind women that have preceded it.
Ureña wanted to name one: Angela Maggiora, who died last year and which he described as "a great professional, an example of struggle and work to finally get the Family Planning Center".
The award ceremony of the Prize for Women Mazarron take place on Sunday March 6 at 17:30 in the Cultural Center.
An act, entertained by the Band Master Eugenio Calderon, where the presence of women will become even harder because for the first time a mayor will present the award.
The associations participating in the election of Mazarron Women have been Red Cross, Association of Housewives Almazarron Merchants Association and District Mazarrón, UGT, Ademur Caritas Puerto, Asodimaz, Making a difference and New Rumbo.
Acts of the International Day of Working Women
Councillor for Equality and Social Policy, Laura Ortiz, has joined in congratulating Mazarron Women and proceeded to advance the set of events organized to mark the International Day of Working Women.
Acts which begin on Saturday March 5 with a workshop talk entitled "The pleasure of recognizing" which will take place in the Day Centre from 10 to 13:30.
Those interested should register with Social Services, Office of CAVI or Day Centre Mazarrón.
Sunday March 6 a hiking route will be made by the Calas de Bolnuevo, three hours to which they are invited to participate in family.
It is organized by the Association of Friends of Nature and will have as its starting point the esplanade of Gredas at 10:00.
In the afternoon, at 17:30 pm in the Cultural Center ceremony for the Women Mazarron 2016. Finally on Tuesday, March 8 Award will take place at 12:00 pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the mayor, Alicia Jimenez, proceed to read the Manifesto for the International Day of Working Women .. An act that will end with an institutional picture.
