The City of Mazarrón and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) have extended Tuesday the collaboration agreement which commits both entities in the development of actions involving disclosure of science and technology among students in secondary and high schools in the municipality .
The measure serves two purposes, firstly to approach the university to prospective students and on the other the cultural promotion of the municipality with the development of various training activities that will Mazarron as headquarters.
The agreement has attended the rector of the UPCT, Alejandro Day, who thanked the collaboration of Mazarron consistory and the interest shown by the current mayor that high school students in the municipality thanks to activities forming as the course which it takes place this week in linked to the development of prototype racing cars Cultural Center.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, has expressed its commitment to support the dissemination of the activity of the UPCT in Mazarrón and pointed out that the municipality also collaborates in the sponsorship of one of the cars they manufacture and put on the track, through various competitions, the team of "Formula Student".
