The Mazarrón Day Center has hosted this Friday the "Healthy, active and participatory aging" organized by the Association of Rural Women (Fademur).
The Department of Social Policy of the City of Mazarron has included this activity within the set of events scheduled for the International Day of Working Women.
This was highlighted by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, who has pointed out the importance of such orientation programs "since they influence a better quality of life for older women in the municipality."
The vice-president of Fademur-Murcia, Magdalena Méndez, has also been involved in this, and she has placed special emphasis on the care of women residing in the districts.
The activity is subsidized by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and aims to provide guidance and support to advance in the implementation of an active, healthy aging process, in accordance with people's expectations.
To this end, there is a need to provide accompanying formulas throughout a process that begins in the transition from working life to retirement and ends in the last moments of life.
Both the mayor, Alicia Jiménez, and the director of the Day Center, Salvador Sánchez, have highlighted the wide services provided by the City Council to the mayor of the municipality.
More than 20 activities per year included in four large blocks that cover the areas of health, cultural, artistic and information technology.
Added to this is the importance of the Alzheimer's Unit, with 15 users divided into two groups.
