The Sanctuary of La Purísima hosted this Thursday the presentation of the poster of Holy Week in Mazarrón.

The president of the brotherhood Our Father Jesus, Tomás Zamora, presented an event that was attended by the parish priest of San Andrés and San Antonio, Francisco José Fernández, the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez and the president of the Cabildo de Cofradías, Laly Agüera, in addition to other posts in Mazarrón and the vice president of the Cabildo of Puerto de Mazarrón.
Salvador Jorquera will be the crier this year.
The 18 of March will be presented in an official act at 20:00 hours, in the cloister of the Parochial Center.
Act in which the magazine Semana Santa 2017 will be presented and which will also proceed to deliver the prizes of the XVIII Lenten Short Story Competition and the contest "Pinta tu Semana Santa".
The proclamation will take place on Saturday, April 8 at 9:00 p.m.
On April 9, in the Plaza del Romeral, the traditional Homage to the Monument of the Nazarene and the later tamborrada will be celebrated.
That day, Palm Sunday, will begin the usual calendar of processions that will extend to the Procession of Holy Burial on Good Friday.
