The Collective of Foreign Women of the different associations of the municipality received this Sunday the Woman Mazarron Award 2017 in an event held in the Cultural Center of Mazarrón.
This recognition was granted by the Association of Housewives, Users and Consumers AlMazarrón, Red Cross, Musical Association Master Eugenio Calderón, Association of Merchants of Mazarrón, Association of Housewives, Users and Consumers AlFaro of Puerto de Mazarrón, Cáritas Puerto and the Department of Social Policy.
The prize recognizes the social work and help to the disadvantaged that lend these women in the different associations in which they collaborate.
For years, associations such as Lions, Make a Difference or the German collective that helps in the Camping of Bolnuevo, have been collaborating actively with the municipal social services and organizations like Red Cross in the attention to the most needed people of the municipality.
This collaboration translates into economic contributions, obtained through the organization of solidarity events, which translate into a respite for dozens of Mazarron families.
The event, enlivened by the performance of the Terpsichore Dance School, was attended by Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez, Councilor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz and other members of the municipal corporation, as well as representatives of the associations involved In the choice of recognition.
