The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Mazarrón, María Ángeles Román, presented on Monday the offer in which this year will focus the presence of Mazarrón in the regional stand of Fitur 2018, the International Tourism Fair that hosts the IFEMA Exhibition Center from Madrid.
The municipality will announce next Friday, January 19, at 11:00 hours, the mobile app "Routes by Mazarrón", an application that collects all the offer that in terms of hiking routes and cycle tourism.
Initially the mobile app, available from Friday on the main platforms, will include four entries: Mountain Biking, Road Cycling / Cycling, Hiking and Cultural Routes.
These tickets will initially lead to 8 routes in total to which will be added more routes to complete the offer that, currently, exceeds twenty.
This has been indicated, Pío Garrido, Tourism Technician of the City of Mazarrón.
In this way, Mazarrón will show its potential in an incipient tourism sector that in Europe has an annual economic impact of 43,000 million euros.
Already this summer, the Municipal Office of Tourism, located in the Plaza Toneleros, received a total of 2,500 queries related to this type of offer.
The mobile application that presents this year Mazarrón in Fitur contemplates the latest advances in geolocation and shows as a highlight what experts call "augmented reality" that uses the geolocation systems of the mobile phone to instantly offer an expanded offer of services that the user can find in the area: accommodation, restaurants, services, beaches, health centers ....
The application also incorporates an alert button connected to the 112 emergency, exit alerts for when the user deviates from the trip and travel positioned in real time.
