Farewell to 2010 routes! (01/09/2010)

The municipality of Mazarrón has wrapped, during the months of July and August, a total of 34 environmental and cultural routes, aimed at all audiences from both the public and tourism.

This summer, the number of users has been around a figure of approximately 1,600, being the the most popular trekking routes.

As data is important to mention that this summer the paths have received a maximum daily participation of sixty, as implemented by the Department of Tourism, to ensure the safety, quality and comfort of the participants.

Most participants were Spanish, reflecting the great importance they have spent so much Mazarron and visitors to know the hidden havens throughout Spain Mazarron.

The daytime programming is interspersed with night routes for different natural sites: from Bolnuevo the Port Promenade, Bolete Grande, Sierra of mulberry trees and creeks, Peñas Blancas, Barranco de Los Algezares, Cala Cerrada, Sierra de Las Herrerías Salitron Cala, among others.

Cultural routes have focused on areas such as 'Town Hall', the Interpretation Centre Phoenician vessel, the Archaeological Museum 'Salted Roman Factory' and the late neolithic settlement of the lead head of Bolnuevo, among others.

Environmental and cultural routes have been organized by the Department of Tourism of the City of Mazarron, through programming 'More than sun and beach. "

This program also has hosted the Senior Theme Beach in Puerto de Mazarrón, which has specific facilities and adapted to facilitate the bathroom and enjoy the beach for people with disabilities through walkways, seating in the water, shade and seating wheels, among other mechanisms.

For its part, the beaches of Bolnuevo and The Island also hosted soccer goals and volleyball poles for citizens and visitors to practice sports.

The Department of Tourism thanks to citizens and visitors demonstrated intense participation in the program "More than sun and sand ', which is a reference point throughout the local, regional and national levels.
