Second Month of the Tower of Horses (14/01/2011)

Just two months ago, the municipality of Mazarrón opened the door to the restoration and renovation of one of the watchtowers, notably the Tower of Horses in Bolnuevo.

This new window for the municipal culture is already a landmark for all locals.

In this new exhibition space, citizens can review the history of a privileged corner of the municipality, and the origin of the Miracle, the festival of the pilgrimage and tour of the watchtowers of Mazarrón.

La Torre de Los Caballos, after its recent renovation, has had the visit of more than six hundred people including Bolnuevo neighbors and people coming from different parts of the Region of Murcia.

At this time have been more than six hundred people, both of Mazarrón and other parts of the Region and the national geography, which are often interested in knowing a part of yesterday Bolnuevo through its defensive tower.

The renovation of the tower retains its essence and regain its splendor, making this place an authentic looked from which to glimpse the magnitude of the Bay of Mazarrón with a view to the beach Bolnuevo.

Department of Tourism for this initiative is an achievement because the citizens can enjoy a unique and singular, where the past, the present and future intermingle in a new tourism product, being an appeal to all citizens.

Persons wishing to visit the Tower of the Horses can do so on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17.00 to 20.00 and Wednesday and Friday from 10.00 to 13.00.
