2011 Carlantum delve into the history of mazarrón (18/02/2011)

Councillor for Culture, Alicia Jimenez, and the Director of the Universidad Popular, José María López Ballesta, presented the Study Session on Mazarrón, CARLANTUM 2011.

This year the Study Days, to which all citizens are invited, will take place from Monday 21 February to Friday 4 March in the hall of the Department of Culture.

Citizens may delve into the history of the town through five events: 'The medieval castles Guadalentín Valley and the coast between Aguilas and Mazarron', 'archaeological work on the Paseo Marítimo de Mazarrón and Rihuete Roman Villa', ' The morphological evolution Guadalentín River along the story ',' Folk medicine in the field of Mazarrón 'and' Rehabilitation Pilot mining environments (Mazarrón) Life-Mipolare '.

Andrés Martínez Rodríguez, Juan García Ponce, Salvador Martinez Alonso, Fernando Guid Cid, Rogelio Morales Hernández, Pedro Martinez and Angel Pagan Faz Cano participate as speakers at this conference.

These opportunities for reflection are also home to the submission of sixth Carlantum proceedings, as well as an exhibition called 'Art and Memory' Mazarron where you can stroll through the history of the municipality.
