Over two hundred people across the Murcia region have participated in the second edition of 'Five Miles Mazarrón', known as the 'Carrera del Tomate. "
Athletes Roxanne Jefferson Monserrate and Blackwell have been imposed in this race including the Popular Racing League.
The test, developed in a largely urban circuit, has included a five-mile route (8040 meters) and has received six categories: Junior, Senior, Vet A, Vet B, C and Local Veterans.
The Ecuadorian athlete Monserrate, who is preparing to be included with your country to participate in the Olympic Games in London, has invested a time of 25 minutes and 47 seconds to cover 8045 meters consisting of the test.
Behind him, Antonio Haro, Mobel Sport Club, more than 30 seconds, was second, while Alberto Gonzalez of Runtritón, the same as the race winner, finished third.
In women Roxanne Blackwell, also of Runtritón has been the best spent time of 31 minutes and 35 seconds.
For its part, Mercedes Merino has been the second in the overall standings, while the Mazarron Mayte Vera Parra finished third in his home.
By category, Radouane El Mansouri has been the best in the junior youth mode, while Mercedes Merino-of-Eliocroca Espapack won in Veterans A.
Rosa Vicente brokerage has been the best in the veteran category B, while the athlete José Antonio Pérez Sansano, del Piero Magli has proven winner in the Veteran A.
Finally, Regino Rodriguez-del Espapack Eliocroca-has been the fastest veteran B and Miguel Way of Marathon Cartagena, the best in veterans C.

Next, the Councillor for Sports, Francisco Antonio Raja, who has actively participated in the race, has been commissioned to deliver the trophies and gifts to all participants.
All participants received a bonus of 25 off treatment 'Tomaterapia' and the top finishers were awarded with trophies and spa circuit.
This race, in just two years, has become a benchmark in the sports, tourism and the promotion of typical products of the municipality, with the tomato the great protagonist of the day.
