Multitidinaria celebration of the Virgen del Carmen (16/07/2011)

Mazarrón held a year forward to the feast of the Virgen del Carmen.

More than a score of boats accompanied the "Star of the Sea" during the procession of boats.

Devotees threw flowers into the sea in memory of their families, while praying for them and the missionaries who died in the accident in Mozambique.

On his return to the fishing pier, the band of brotherhood "Virgin of Sorrows" waiting for the image of the Virgin in procession to accompany land to the church of San José de Puerto de Mazarrón.

Before coming to the parish, Our Lady of Carmen received a warm tribute outside the headquarters of the fishermen.

Several hundred people accompanied the patron saint of fishermen during all acts in the most crowded and lively celebration that remembers the last years.
