Juan Valero Sanchez won the story contest "Villa de Mazarrón, del Olmo Antonio Segado" (25/07/2011)

It has already been released on the jury's short story contest "Villa de Mazarrón - Segado Antonio del Olmo."

This year the first prize of 3,600 euros more plaque was awarded to Professor Juan Valero totanero Sanchez, who presented the story titled "Vladivostok" under the slogan Septentrión Azul.

Juan Valero holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Barcelona and graduated in French by the Official Language School in Barcelona.

Currently studying at the National University of Distance Education (UNED) the degree of Spanish Language and Literature.

Juan Valero is a professor of philosophy at the Instituto Juan de la Cierva Totana.

Among his literary works of note is the publication of poems in the magazine "black sun", now defunct, and some articles in the magazine "Cuadernos de La Santa" Totana, on philosophy and mysticism.

It has also been selected, no prize in the contest microrelatos "Mills River" of Murcia in 2010 and has just participated in a collective for the victims of the earthquake Lorca.

He has also prefaced a book of poems, "In favor of the gale," Juana Serrano.

The second prize, worth 2,400 euros and plaque has been placed in the hands of Teresa González Núñez, who lives in Madrid, the story titled "Yellow Heart."

This Madrid is playwright, fiction and poetry.

He published his first poem at age fourteen in the journal "Archer" and seventeen his first story in the weekly "Black and White."

He works as a writer for radio station Radio School Merida.

Teresa Nunez has taught literary scholarship from the University Complutense and the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, as well as studies of literature and child psychology, screenplay and encourage reading.

He has worked for some time in writing workshops "Fuentetaja" in Madrid and in the newspapers "Twenty Minutes" and "Live Metro" columnist.

The competition has been a high participation, reaching the 1599 original in this twenty-seventh edition, receiving bills for virtually all of Latin America (Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Guatemala, Cuba, Bolivia, Costa Rica , El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Brazil), also U.S.

Also in most EU countries and from Africa, Asia (Australia, Thailand ...).

As the international prize is evidenced by the number and nationality of the authors who participated in this edition.

The competition is organized by the City of Mazarrón and People's University of Mazarrón.

The presentation of the Awards will be held on 29th July, at 11 pm, at the Hotel Playa Grande in Puerto de Mazarrón.

A day earlier, the national literary prize, Gustavo Martín Garzo, will host a conference to make a "fairy tale Defense."

It will be from 10 o'clock at night in the same place, the hotel Playa Grande.

The activities planned to mark this event began on Friday with a performance by the jazz band "Tote Cánovas Quartet" and the singer "Angela Bossa."

Dozens of people attended the musical show, was delighted with the voice of his very young singer and the skill of the musicians who accompanied her.

These two concerts have been funded by the Social Work of the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (CAM) who Ballesta Lopez thanked his involvement with this competition.
