The September 26 opening the deadline to register for courses and workshops at the University People (15/09/2011)

This past Wednesday was held at the Universidad Popular de Mazarrón (UPM) the presentation of courses and workshops that the city agency has prepared for the academic year 2011-2012.

This presentation was made by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the Councillor for Education, Culture and Tourism, Maria Celeste Soria, and the director of the UPM, José María López Ballesta.

The registration period begins Monday, September 26 and runs until October 7, during business hours 10 am to 2 pm and 8 pm to 10 pm at People's University.

This year's program focuses on three areas of action.

Quality, Diversity and Participation.

In regard to Quality, UPM has expanded morning hours to provide better service and greater opportunities for assistance.

In regard to diversity, the UPM continues offering more acceptable activities continue, and those aimed at improving participants' labor.

But this year has gone one step further and have scheduled two workshops, entitled "Learning to Live" and "Positive Thinking", to strengthen the consolidation facing personnel to tackle properly causing setbacks in life.

Participation is the third pillar of this project, thanks to the diversity and quality of courses, extending the age range of participants who are in this offer an opportunity not only to improve your training or knowledge, but also to take advantage of the free time they have.

Computing, languages ​​(English and Castilian), creativity through photography, maintenance yoga, tai-chi or ballroom dancing, and the popular workshop "Memory" and "Encounters with History" are just some examples of this exciting offer.

The mayor of Mazarrón highlighted the efforts of the People's University to "reinvent themselves and continue to drive a high quality project like this," whose success is "very well demonstrated by the 28 years of life that has."

For his part, Soria stressed "the great utility of these courses and workshops to promote quality education among citizens of the municipality."

Finally, José María López Ballesta participation and encouragement to those wanting cited more concise to "open days that will take place on Thursday 22 September 8 and a half in the afternoon to ten at night."
