The collection of about a hundred bags of trash has been the result of the First Municipal Environmental Awareness Day which was held this morning in the township.
The participants, also more than a hundred, have collected all kinds of waste such as soda cans, plastic and glass bottles, snuff packages, papers, and even the remains of wooden pallets and pruning plants.
The initiative, launched by the Department of Environment of the City of Mazarrón, the club participated hiker "Friends of Nature", the "Reforestation of Mazarrón" and environmental associations of Camposol "ARC", "Community Group" , "Green Fingers" Sector C and the cleaning equipment industry B.
Each group was responsible for cleaning an area.
Thus, "Friends of Nature" have dealt with the saint's head in Mazarrón, the "Reforestation" have taken on the beach Percheles Camposol and groups of various points of this development.
After the cleanup day, which started at 9 am, participants were treated to a picnic to regain strength that has been donated free by the hotel "Balneario de Mazarrón - Sensol".
The mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, accompanied by David Fernandez, mayor of the Environment and Citizenship, Javier Masia, director of that hotel, they have handed these picnics and personally thanked the attendees for their participation in this INITIATIVE "which will surely will be repeated next year, "noted Campillo.
