Change of stars in the lineup as happens in the music festivals.

Photographer Frans Lanting, who was to participate in editing Fotogenio this year, you can not attend because their heads Mazarrón National Geographic have commissioned a photo shoot in Tanzania which will coincide with the fair the next day 9, 10 and 11 March.

As the contract for the largest gathering photographic assistance of Spain was signed and paid in part, National Geographic has decided to send another of his Mazarrón Star photographer Steve McCurry.

Veteran correspondent in war and member of the Magnum Photos agency, McCurry is the author of one of the most famous snapshots of the story "Afghan girl."

As explained Fotogenio coordinator, John S.

Despite the absence of Lanting, the event has not lost quality due to the arrival of McCurry.

Steve McCurry, who was consecrated as the author of the most iconic image declared in the history of National Geographic - the green-eyed Afghan girl that was published as the cover of the magazine in 1985 - surely speak of the story that led not only to capture it with your camera, but also to look 17 years after it is photographed.

An exciting story that has marked a before and after in the history of photography.

Fotogenio continues to reveal names for the meeting this year.

In addition to McCurry, Bence Máté, Clemente Jimenez and Rebeca Saray Fructuoso Navarro, also participate in the event the acclaimed Spanish photojournalist Ricky Davila and A. Mauro

Alvarez Fuentes, who is followed by more than 20,000 people in his blog full of guides, video tutorials, tips and photographic analysis.

One of the new activities offered this year Fotogenio is a portfolio review, adapted to the crisis, which offer enrollees the opportunity to share their work with renowned professionals of the photographic medium, receive guidance on their development and promotion, and eligible one of two prizes to be awarded to the best portfolios of the contest.
