Port of Mazarron intensity looks celebration of Holy Week (29/03/2012)

A year Puerto de Mazarron expected intensity holding ceremonies and processions of Holy Week that will start tomorrow, Good Friday, with the act of reading of the proclamation by the director of CEIP "Bay" of the coastal town, Salvador Ardil Moreno, in the church of St. Joseph beginning at 8 pm.

On Palm Sunday the garden of the Hermitage in the district of San Isidro is the starting point of the procession of the Palms will begin at 12 noon.

These are San Pedro, San Juan, the Virgin of Sorrows, Our Father Jesus the Nazarene and the Virgin of Sorrows.

The procession will begin at 9 and a half of the night and will start from the church of San José, the nerve center of these celebrations, to walk the streets Cartagena, Trafalgar, Progress, Mayor, Juan Sebastian Elcano, Tierno Galván avenue, street Gonzalez Ballesta, Main Street and back up to that parish.

The same route will be the Good Friday procession, known as the Holy Burial.

Also departing at 9 and a half of the night and from the same place, parade goers can watch the 5 steps that make up the procession and are San Pedro, San Juan, Christ's Atonement with the Virgin of Solitude, the Holy Sepulchre and the Virgin of Sorrows.

Of particular interest is the carving of the Virgin of Sorrows of the sculptor Lozano Sanchez, who serves as the Virgen de la Soledad on the night of Good Friday.
