Last Friday was held at the sports hall of "The Cañadica", the closing of the 2011-12 School Sports program in local stage has enjoyed the participation of all schools in our town.
In all, about approximately 2,000 children in the youngest categories, juvenile, child, youth cadet and participated in many sports such as football, handball, basketball, volleyball, running, Aquathlon, table tennis, chess, etc. .
In this closing Councilman Sports City of Mazarron, Andrew James, presented the trophies to the best teams in each mode.
The mayor thanked all schools and physical education teachers their collaboration in this program which have again achieved some success at the regional level as that achieved by the IES "Domingo Valdivieso," which emerged as champion basketball child, or several second IES "Philip II" and the school made "XXI Century".
This "good health" of the sport not only Mazarron is palpable in the school sport program, but also in schools taught by the various sports clubs in the town throughout the year and also had a high participation.
Specifically, 762 people have participated in different sports against the 635 given last year, representing an increase of 127 people playing sports in Mazarron.
Of the total, most are children who, once again, have returned to opt for high follow sports like football, basketball or football.
Even so, young Mazarron are moving into the practice of other sports such as sailing, which this year has doubled the number of participants reaching the 26 enrolled, while taekwondo, judo or skating are being consolidated.
Participants in different sports schools have also received a diploma that have been delivered by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, the Councillor for Sports, Andrew James, and other councilors as the management of urban amenities, Juan Miguel Muñoz.
