A bright sunny Sunday provided the perfect finale to the last of the "Privilege Cruises' (07/12/2012)

Despite predictions of a day cold, the weather on Sunday gave the walkers who participated in the last voyage of Privilege one of those days that have Mazarron winters where the sun is warm and friendly and visibility reaches both the view is able to recognize.

An exceptional day for exceptional activity marking the demarcation of our town 440 years ago and whose three routes have been a success.

Seventy walkers dared brave the 28 miles from Traverse Lift, the hardest of all because of the terrain they had to go full of ups and downs continuous dimension.

The itinerary design inspired by the instructions given the privilege, starting in Campo Nubia (present field of Fuente Alamo) and led participants to Flat Island Cairn separating Mazarron of Cartagena.

During the tour moved through the Margajón and reached the 713 meters in the Sierra del Algarrobo, the highest of which are within the city limits.

Hikers brushed corner and crossed the Sierra from the top to the Hole in the Dark, rising to Lomachón and visiting the Fountain of Alameda then declined to Camping de las Torres and El Mojon.

In particular, was a source of delight and wonder who had the awesome panoramic December 2 from the top of Algarrobo.

To the east, all the way to the Mar Menor Orihuela saws, on the south coast of Murcia and the entire west, so clear, to Cabo de Gata.

Inland the snow glittering claimed the attention of La Sagra peak.

Such visibility is exceptional even for this place.

Among the walkers is noteworthy participation Mazarron Francisco Gonzalez, known to all as "grills".

This neighbor, 77-year-old has completed all three "Cruises Privilege" and, incidentally, it has done better than many other participants with lower digits on your ID card.

A They all routes provided for joy, hope and information on ancient traditions and customs of the territories through which we passed.

An activity that "has been a success and flourish within the celebration of the 440 anniversary of the granting of the privilege of Villa" stressed Mayor, Ginés Campillo.
