From the 4th until February 13 are celebrating the IES "Philip II" about "Open Days" which is aimed at students of 6th Elementary schools assigned to said school, who visit the center to learn about their facilities.
The objectives of the activity are to inform students of the Institute, meet the educational offer in 1st ESO and improve the transition between primary and secondary stages.
This activity began to coordinate during last December between the management teams of the various colleges and the guidance department IES "Philip II".
Students come to the center by bus from their respective schools from both districts as Ramonete or Cañada de Gallego, and those of his town of Mazarrón.
In this sense, is still quite remarkable collaboration of the company "Coach MATEO SL".
Student groups are received by the Director of Studies at the school library.
They are given an information leaflet and explains the most important aspects of the functioning of the institute and the courses they will attend next year.
Emphasis is placed on the possibility of studying in Section Bilingual (French-English) from 1st ESO and its special features.
Subsequently, they are informed that the IES "Philip II" is part of the Network of Centres of Excellence of the Region of Murcia, to be implemented the CAF EDUCATION management system.
After this, the teacher responds to questions and also gives them some students copies of the magazine "The Mines", published by the center.
Finally, is divided into several teams of college students and started the site visit.
During the visit we review all areas of the center and, in many cases, students will have the center reserved for their future classmates a surprise as a musical, a sport or some experience in English.
We have participated in the conference Centres and Primary Education "Infanta Leonor", "San Antonio" (Cañada de Gallego), "Our Lady of the Rosary" (The Librilleras), "Francisco Caparros", "Ginés García" and " The Aceña ".
The CEIP "The Cañadica" closed these days with his visit on Wednesday February 13.
