Mazarrón rang yesterday with a spectacular carnival parade in which 34 groups and ended with a big party during which prizes were awarded for this festival which this year has exceeded all expectations.
The first prize in the parade went to the hands of the "Comparsa Salsalá" was done with 1,200 euros of which was equipped the same.
Horse Riding Association "The Mazarron" retained the second prize last year, worth 900 euros, with its horse show.
Finally, the third prize of 600 euros, fell on the rock "Percheles Beaches".
There were also awards for schools and associations involved in the children's parade, colorful and fun.
The Dance School "Antonio Jara" repeated this year and took first place with the main prize of 650 euros.
Another awards went to the AMPA "Infanta Leonor" which became the second prize 500 euros thanks to its staging of Snow White.
The AMPA "The Caleñares" CEIP "Miguel Delibes" Puerto de Mazarrón, won third child endowed with 450 euros with a circus that lacked detail.
This year the competition attracted 14 foreign comparing that have dazzled their way through the town center.
Some of them even came with car floats and costumes that fascinated viewers for its quality and beauty.
To them were convened for the first time two awards this year.
The first prize of 300 euros, was granted by a local jury to the troupe "Samana" which came from the town of Mula.
The second prize of 200 euros, was placed in the hands of the troupe "Olympus" who came from the neighboring municipality of Totana.
The council of Celebration, Isidro Coy, was in charge of presenting the awards and congratulated all AMPAS, clubs and associations for their quality and their involvement with the carnival of Mazarrón.
"I'm excited to see how Mazarrón has turned to its carnival. All participants have shown great quality and originality rarely seen before in our people."
The mayor also thanked the visitors and wished the rocks "you enjoyed as much as we enjoyed watching them parade".
