"School Recycling" school teaches Mazarrón to recycle electrical and electronic (22/04/2013)

Today and tomorrow, the "School Recycling" is visiting Mazarrón to present a fun and interactive schoolchildren in the municipality which is the process of recycling of electrical and electronic equipment and its environmental benefits.

The project, located inside a large truck which has now been located by the CEIP "Ginés García" de Mazarrón and tomorrow will near the school "Bay" Port has been visited this morning by the Councillor for the Environment, David Fernandez.

Promoted by integrated management systems "AMBILAMP", "RECYCLIA", "TRAGAMÓVIL" and "ECOPILAS" "School Recycling" is a training initiative that runs schools in primary and secondary education in Spain.

As explained by the head of the project, Carlos Garcia, the "School Recycling a mobile classroom has 120 square meters built into a truck. In this way, students can learn about how to recycle light bulbs, batteries, cell phones, computers, toys or appliances.

Over two days, more than 300 students and 25 teachers from the 7 centers and Primary Education in Mazarrón visit the facilities of "School Recycling".

The mayor of the Environment, David Fernandez, has expressed the commitment of the session with the education of the young as evidenced by the collaboration that has remained Recycling School.

"It's a new opportunity for young people to be educated in environmental values ​​that we both value and promote from the council which I chair, especially for waste recycling are less accustomed to such as light bulbs, batteries, phones or computers."

In the case of the Region of Murcia, "School Recycling" will be present in 20 centers of the autonomous region.

After Yecla, Murcia, El Algar and Cartagena, Mazarrón is the fifth stop of the mobile classroom.

In total, will be visited by some 2,100 students, accompanied by 100 teachers.

During the past school year, more than 20,000 schoolchildren visited his mobile classroom and this year is expected to increase this figure to 25,000 students and more than 130 centers across Spain mobile classroom visit "School Recycling" during this school .

The educational project "Reciclaj School '" is organized by the following Integrated Management Systems "AMBILAMP" (Association for the recycling of lamps and luminaires) that collects light bulbs, fluorescent, discharge lamps, and LED lighting retrofit; "TRAGAMÓVIL" created to collect mobile phone, "ECOPILAS" integrated system for the collection of portable batteries and batteries, and Platform "RECYCLIA", which encompasses the previous two.
