The theater returns to the "House of Culture" with two performances (03/07/2013)

The Department of Education continues its work to promote culture in general, and the promotion of theater in particular, with two new plays that are part of the journey that the council began last March with the celebration of "World Theatre Day", which earned an excellent reception that led many citizens to request that such initiatives were repeated as soon as possible.

Given these requirements, Education scheduled for Saturday July 6 the play "Wait for me in heaven ... or rather, not."

The performance, which will be borne by the company "Imagined Space" will take place from 22 am in the auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Mazarrón, better known as "House of Culture", located in the Burial of the Sardina district number 17 "the Flour mill".

The entrance is free representation and limited capacity.

"Wait for me in heaven ... or rather, it" is the story of four women of different age and condition but with one common characteristic: its rebel fighter and his enormous capacity to love.

With a good dose of humor and irony that sometimes border on the absurd, the text gets to the heart of current issues such as the consequences of the economic crisis and the hypocrisy of the ruling class, the right to education of women in all countries of the world or gender violence in its various manifestations.

Also, Saturday July 13 will be held at the same place and same time, a second theatrical performance by the company "Teatro Laula".

This time, viewers will delight in the book "The No" by Virgilio Piñera.

This is the last play written by the famous Cuban playwright and, surely, will be performed with great skill by "Laula Theatre" as already happened last March with "The crime was in Granada", the which captivated the audience.

Admission also is free to fill seats.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stressed that "when it held the celebration of World Theatre Day in March, we asked citizens more activities of this type, a desire that now come to fulfill."

In addition, the mayor pointed out that "the theater has always had a great tradition in Mazarrón and it is our obligation to support him, more so when you are producing a cultural reemergence whereby the municipality will continue supporting and promoting new initiatives."
