More than a hundred agents and students participate in the sessions of the UMU safety (17/10/2013)

This morning I have started in the auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Mazarrón, the conference "Safety, a Holistic Approach" Headquarters who organized Permanent Extension of the University of Murcia (UMU) in the municipality and the Department of Education Mazarrón Town Hall, with the collaboration of the College of Criminologists Association of the Region of Murcia.

More than a hundred people, among whom were Civil Guard agents and local police in different municipalities in the region and numerous students have been received by the Councillor for Education, Maria Celeste Soria, the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Development and Training UMU, Fernando Martin, and Professor of Law and Criminology and director of the conference, Juan José Nicolás.

All three have wished that the days are very fruitful for agents and young people have gathered in Mazarrón, students may even choose to recognition-CRAU 1 ECTS credit.

Maria Celeste Soria has been "very pleased" by the high attendance and thanked the "magnificent work of Fernando Navarro Aznar in front of the headquarters of Permanent Extension of the University of Murcia in Mazarron".

In the day session, attendees have gone into 'Public safety view of the Security Forces' thanks to a round table who spoke José Marin, Chief Commissioner of the NPC, Ignacio del Olmo, Chief Security Commissioner NPC Citizen Murcia, José Antonio Joy, head of the Public Safety Unit of the Civil Guard (USECIC) 5th District of Murcia, and Jose Luis Sanchez, deputy inspector of the local police chief Eagles.

For this evening, after 17 hours, three papers are provided by Francisco Manuel Garcia Costa, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Murcia, José María Caballero Salinas, professor of Criminal Law and Dean of Criminology UCAM, and Julio Siguenza Lopez, Professor of Procedural Law at the University of Murcia.

The talks, which address various aspects from the perspective of the laws related to Citizen Security and Criminology, will include moderate highlights such as Ricardo Fernandez, journalist and head of local area newspaper La Verdad de Murcia ', Milagros Lopez, Professor of Criminology at the UCAM, and Jose Neftali Nicholas, criminal lawyer.

Tomorrow the conference will continue with a panel discussion in the morning which will focus on 'Citizen Security criminology view' and a new evening paper that address the issue of 'Victims criminological perspective'.

After this, there will be the closing event of this conference which will be attended by the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, the president of the Audiencia Provincial de Murcia, Andres Pacheco, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law UMU, Faustino Cava, and will be chaired by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo.
