The Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) published on Saturday November 2 three resolutions of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia (CARM) which are initiated procedures asset declaration recognized for their cultural significance, in favor of the archaeological 'Loma del Alamillo' and the archaeological 'Balsa del Alamillo' in the municipality of Mazarrón, and the archaeological site 'Fountain of Pinilla' in the municipalities of Fuente Alamo and Mazarrón.

The archaeological site of 'Loma del Alamillo' corresponds to a Roman settlement period tardorrepublicana, framed chronologically from the early years of the century and the first century BC.

The archaeological area is developed on the hill where we find the wall structures documented in the 1987 intervention leading to five rooms are built around a central courtyard next to which stands a large space with possible functions from store to southeast.

The site 'Balsa del Alamillo' corresponds to a water distribution raft with corresponding input and output aqueducts and would be related to the large country villas built by the Alamillo and Rihuete.

In 1989 he was the subject of an archaeological dig whose results led to better understanding of the structural characteristics of the raft and its chronology.

The of 'Fountain of Pinilla' corresponds to an establishment of Roman (BC-V centuries AD) interpreted as a rest station (mansio), situated along a stretch of the Via Augusta that in this sector of mainland Southeast Carthago Nova Cástulo communicated with through Lorca, Baza and Guadix, and which is documented earlier phase of occupation, Punic period, related to the farm environment.
