Over 400 school children learn and have fun with the first date of the program of educational concerts (08/11/2013)

On Wednesday, November 6 took place in the auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Mazarrón, the first educational concert for schools in the municipality.

More than 400 students accompanied by their teachers participated in this first concert jointly organized by the Department of Education and the Musical Association 'Maestro Eugenio Calderón', in close collaboration with the real architects of this initiative, teachers of music schools.

The concert was hosted by the brass quintet "Murcia Brass", formed by Alejandro Castañeda Martínez, Antonio J.

Martinez Cayuela, trumpets, Gabriel García Gutiérrez, horn, Mario Calvo Ponce, trombone, and Bartholomew Urrea Acosta, tuba; experienced musicians, members of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, magnificent professionals on stage they offered, as always, a interpretation of quality, with appropriate repertoire selected specifically for this concert.

Alejandro Castañeda was responsible for the theoretical explanations, but had the help of "Matthew", an alleged street musician played by Juan Jose Miñarro Alcázar, teacher and musician, who gave birth to a peculiar character that "snuck" in concert and with your comments and calculated interruptions caused laughter and kept the attention of viewers, and learn, enjoyed an unforgettable concert.

Throughout the morning groups of students from eleven primary and secondary schools in Mazarrón had the opportunity to enjoy a fun concert that practically learned basics like the doorbell or the difference between low and high; could see what they were like trumpets or horns half a century ago and even hear how they sounded, and learn many things about brass instruments, from the parts that make up each instrument and their function, to how to breathe or to vibrate the lips to sound the instrument.

Councillor for Education, Maria Celeste Soria, and the president of the 'Maestro Eugenio Calderón', Paquita Ureña, welcomed students and recalled that "this first concert is part educational program three concerts, one in each quarter of the course school. February Next month the second concert will take place and will be provided by a string quartet. "
