The council rural roads improvement 'Dry Canyon' in Pastrana and 'Rusticana' in Iguana (15/11/2013)

The Rural Development Department of the City of Mazarrón is making improvements in two new rural township roads.

At this time it is the 'Dry Canyon Trail' in the hamlet of IFRE-Pastrana and the 'Road Rusticana' in the hamlet of Iguana.

As explained the councilor of the area, Magdalena Mendez, "despite the economic constraints we have to adjust, we undertaking activities in rural areas of the municipality to improve the quality of the people who live in them" .

The works that are being carried out in the 'Dry Canyon Trail' consist of conditioning of a stretch of 240 meters long and 4.50 meters wide based earthmoving and paving with hot asphalt mix.

Magdalena Mendez explained that "this road was in poor condition due to the existence of potholes and uneven in its path.

Also, the paving had very irregular areas that prevented the proper circulation of traffic, affecting traffic safety and user convenience. "

These works have involved an investment of 25524.95 euros from the municipal coffers.

The other action that is being done is to the conditioning of 'Road Rusticana' of 330 meters long and 5 meters wide based earthmoving, water pipes and layer hot asphalt mix.

In this case, Mendez explained that "the way land was paved with potholes and uneven in its path without channeling rainwater and from greenhouses.

These works have involved an investment of EUR 35,543 from city coffers.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stressed that "little by little, we are strengthening our commitment to the rural areas of the municipality with the improvement of various roads that mainly represents an important improvement of road safety."

The mayor added that "example of this commitment have been two new actions that have been approved today in Local Government to be carried out in the 'Roads of Muleros' and 'Boro Road' in the districts of Canadas del Romero and Iguana ".
