For the sixteenth consecutive year, the City of Mazarrón and the Association of Friends of Nature have organized the traditional program of activities with the World Bird Day is celebrated.
On Saturday, a stand next to the weekly market of Mazarrón hosted an exhibition of falconry with the presence of some of the typical local places birds.
The public was able to see the flight and the types of movements of some units and the kids enjoyed the explanations of the monitors who invited them to participate in a fun drawing workshop.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez and the Councillor for Environment, Maria Isabel Lopez, wanted to be present at an event that seeks to raise awareness about the importance of respecting and preserving ecosystems.
At the head of the Association of Friends of Nature, as has become customary, was Rafael Peral who treated children and adults.
On Sunday held an interesting visit to the wetland of the boulevard of the avenue of mulberry trees, a place of great natural value in the presence of a large number of species, some endangered species such as white-headed duck.
More than thirty people were able to spot and know, something closer to these species.
