Meeting at the Ministry of Environment to promote an improvement in the promenades of Mazarrón (30/10/2015)

Alicia Jimenez in Madrid on Thursday visited the premises of the Ministry of Environment to meet with the General Director of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, Raquel Orts.

At this meeting the Mayor expressed the need for improvement presented by current shoreline promenades of Mazarron and enabling new ones such as El Alamillo, project that the City wants to complete the construction of a gazebo next to the Black beach .

Earlier this month, the lord another meeting with the Head of the Coastal connection with the development of three performances in high demand by residents and tourists took place.

They have already started work to restore the stretch of beach between El Castellar with the mouth of the gully of Las Moreras, besides giving it an appropriate step zone with specific pavement.

It is also ongoing works to install access gateways to the beach of El Mojon, facilitating and enabling a parking pass for the disabled.

A similar work on the beach of Rincon de Bolnuevo and Puntabela, in the way of the nudist beaches, it also handles the work to reinforce a wall in the passageway thus solving the erosion that has caused the sea on the slope and avoiding risks of detachment.

All these actions were announced after the meeting held in Mazarrón by the head of the Coastal Authority, Andres Martinez with the mayor, Alicia Jimenez and Councillor for Infrastructure, Pedro Martinez.

The investment of these works will be borne by Costas, with participation of the consistory.
