The president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, today joined the citizens of Mazarrón on the day of its patron saint, and attended Mass in commemoration of the miracle of the Immaculate Conception, 'Virgen del Milagro'.

A ceremony described as "intimate and emotional" because "in the heart of Mazarron is the Immaculate, the Virgin Milagrosa".

Likewise, he thanked the mayor of Mazarrón the invitation to this event, which commemorates an apparition of the Virgin Purisima on 17 November 1585, which routed the Berbers who wanted to land on the beaches of Bolnuevo.

Since then, the Virgin, also known as the Miracle, he became the patron saint of the town, being born an enormous devotion to her and commemorated the miraculous episode each November 17 solemnly.
