Ruben Garcia Mazarrón Taekwondo Club was made last weekend with the bronze medal in the International Open of the sport held in the Moroccan city of Agadir.
Mazarron, which is junior last year, competed with the Spanish National Team in Senior Division thus reaping a remarkable success for the national sport, since besides this Open counts towards the Rio Olympics to be held next year.
This success came in the same week that the city hosted the Junior Championship and the Second Regional Conference on Combating Child.
Regional competition in first place in the team standings went to the Club Koryo.
The awards ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez and the Councillor for Sports, Patricio Sánchez.
