The Minister of Tourism announced the redevelopment of the boardwalks of the Port (28/05/2008)

This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, received the visit of Minister of Tourism and Consumer Affairs, Jose Pablo Ruiz Abellán, next to the Director General de Puertos y Costas, Francisco Marín, who have envisioned the current state of the promenades Francisco Martínez Muñoz and Rihuete and construction of the ship of the fishing harbor of Puerto de Mazarrón.

The proceedings have already begun, the proof is currently under the process of recruitment of technical assistance for the drafting of an amount of 80,000 euros, whose area is between the Port of Mazarrón and length Rambla Rihuete with a length of 1,115 meters.

The project will include all the necessary infrastructure for carrying out engineering works, stormwater drainage, paving, equipment for furniture, plumbing and lighting pipeline networks, irrigation and lighting gardens

Currently the Ministry of Tourism in the municipality also undertakes various activities such as construction of a warehouse store in the fishing harbor of the Port for tools and the new pavement in the fish market.

The ship in the fishing harbor of Puerto de Mazarrón, designed to develop repair and training gear, has a rectangular shape with an area of 576 meters, and the budget amounts to EUR 369,407, with completion scheduled for next August.

The main aesthetic feature of the ship is its cover, because it is composed of overlapping modules that describe a wave.

The other task is being done is replacing the marble floor of the fish market in Puerto de Mazarrón other mass concrete in an amount of 45,000 euros.

Undoubtedly, the City Council through the Department of Tourism and Infrastructure works closely with the Autonomous Community to provide the municipality with the highest quality tourism.
