Thousands of people visit the town hall of Mazarrón (23/01/2009)

The building of the town hall of Mazarrón has received since its reopening on 10 April and to date, the visit of more than ten thousand people.

The municipality has received with enthusiasm and joy the opening of this building as emblematic for the citizens, which dates from the late nineteenth century.

Among institutional events made it is worth noting the opening after rehabilitation of the town hall, the reading of Don Quixote, the Council of Radio Television of the Region of Murcia, the Belarusian children's summer reception, the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia The inauguration of 15 new local policemen, the Proclamation of the Fiestas de Mazarrón, the reception of candidates for election of the Queen and the celebration of Constitution Day.

The activities that have fueled the social and cultural life of citizens have been the live broadcast of a program of Regional Wave, the cycle of conferences on the Town Hall, the Museum Day with the celebration for the first time the White Night The Day Women's Health, Environment Day and the Day of Music.

Some of the exhibits that have marked the beginning of this cultural exhibition space have been: 'The Corners' of Saino, 'Washing sentimental' and 'The banks of the pleasure' of Mark Faccio, 'even when they know your name, do not know' of Javier García Herrero, 'mining and abstract paintings Art' of John Luke, "From Bethlehem to humor 'of Juan Alvarez and Jorge Gomez.
