The celebration of St. Joseph tear this Thursday, March 19 (16/03/2009)

The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor for Fiestas, Luisa María Heredia, presented this morning the schedule of events for the festival of San Jose 2009.

From 19 to March 22 citizens and tourists who come to the town enjoy some leisure activities, festivals and devotees to honor the patron saint of Puerto de Mazarrón.

Medieval Market star, from 19 to 22 March from 11:00 to 14:00

and from 18:00 to 22:00 h., a host of activities such as parade with bagpipers and jugglers, archery shops, making bread and children's corner with over twenty traditional games.

More acts are expected by the people who join a wide variety of groups like the days of the Child and the Mayor to provide specific activities to all citizens.

The pilgrims 'performance of the group' Aires de Mazarron ', known to all citizens for their art of flamenco dance, the music magazines as well as concerts by the Association in the shade 80' and the musical duo 'AWOL' , for youth and adult audiences, bring a touch of color, music and joy to this holiday which events will take place mainly in the tent, located next to the beach Rihuete.

This year one of the developments in the festival program of San Jose is the burning of the Falla that was brought forward to Saturday night so they can enjoy it a greater number of citizens and tourists.

Also, for this reason the parade of floats will take place on Sunday morning from the Garden of San Pedro through the Avenida Doctor Meca, Josefa Poet Lorente streets, Mayor and Hernán Cortés up to the Parque de la Guardia Civil.

Francisco Blaya, during the press conference, has invited all citizens to participate in these celebrations in a unique environment as Rihuete Beach.

For its part, Luisa María Heredia has detailed the particulars of the program for this year which brings together the diversity of activities for all ages.
