The Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM), through the Department of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, has tendered the works of the first phase of Bolnuevo promenade in the town of Mazarrón, with an investment amounting to 1,852,706 euros.

To make possible this new ride Bolnuevo Mazarrón City Council put the land available to the Dirección General de Costas de Murcia.

In particular, according to the MARM, the works involve the construction of a boardwalk that comprises a length of the seashore about 1,600 meters and runs preferably within the transit easement with varying widths included, according to sections, between 6.20 meters and 9.30 meters.

Also included in the draft all the necessary work to provide it with various kinds of infrastructure, facilities, street furniture and landscaping, the ministry said in a statement.

The floor of the step is projected three-inch precast paving thickness of various sizes, with an estimated area of 9,000 square meters.

Included in the tour the different furniture placement, as are 50 banks, 44 bins, three-bike park, 40 meters of wooden walkways for access to the beach suitable for the transit of persons with reduced mobility and nine units posters and signage.

Similarly, the underground facility is projected electric lighting with three scorecards as well as the placement of 81 points of light.

On the other hand includes the planting of 82 units Tamariz parviflora, five units and 83 units Palmetto palms.

Finally, we will proceed to the installation of drainage and sanitation, with the establishment of drinking water, 14 units and eight units lavapiés showers.

These actions are part of the Ministry's policy to recover the Spanish coast, in collaboration with the autonomous regions and municipalities in the affected areas, carried out the necessary actions to improve the coastal strip, while respecting the environmental and landscape features each zone and to facilitate the use and enjoyment of the coast to all citizens.
