The municipality of Mazarrón is present in the X Annual Forum on Information Society Murcia 2010 ', to Sunday May 16th with a booth at the Paseo Alfonso X El Sabio de Murcia.
Mazarrón disclosed in this stand, Digital City, a project that surrounds the town and since then it has increased significantly the possibilities of virtual communication between government and citizens.
Different public and private agencies have joined the bandwagon of new technology through this exhibition of technology demonstrations.
SICARM, Information Society Murcia Region is a set of technological events that have taken place annually in the Region of Murcia since 2001, these events are analyzed and experience new technologies from various perspectives and presents the latest developments in the fields of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
The goal is to help SICARM effective incorporation of the Region of Murcia to the Information Society, disseminating technologies and services.
SICARM, is one of the actions envisaged in the Third Plan for the Development of Information Society (PDSI), regióndemurciaSI, which has established itself as a national reference in the field of Information Society and Knowledge.
The main parts of the PDSI, plan pushed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance through the Directorate General of Telecommunications and Information Society, focused on the deployment of telecommunications infrastructure, enterprises and citizens.
