The Department of Agriculture Mazarrón City Council convenes to farmers and professionals in the town for a meeting on 'The action programs of biological control in tomato' to be held on Monday 7 June at 20.30 in the CEIP Infanta Leonor.
The meeting will focus on the situation of 'Absolute Tutta' in the Region as well as the advantages and disadvantages of new phytosanitary strategies for growing tomatoes.
In the talk will speak the Director General of Training Agricultural Cooperatives and the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Ángel García Lidón, who will be accompanied by the Councillor for Agriculture of the City of Mazarrón, Luisa María Heredia.
In this session, technicians of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water in the Region will issue a 'Guide for phytosanitary management tomato plantations', which sets out the basic hygiene and cultural, to minimize the occurrence of plant disease problems in plantations.
This guide also includes recommendations for managing and supporting mechanisms of interest in this crop, the use of traps and the use of pesticides, particularly in relation to support beneficial insects.
