The Island Fun Fest returned to fulfill its expectations during the past weekend.
The event projected the offer of leisure and tourism of the municipality for the next summer organizing numerous sports and leisure activities that encouraged visitors who came to the Beach of the Island. Dance schools and gyms of Mazarrón, Classical Vehicles Association, Bahía Surf, sports clubs and other entities collaborated in the development of a festival aimed at satisfying the tastes of all audiences.
Mazarrón took advantage of the event to sell the excellence of its coast and report the 10 recently awarded blue flags.
The flyski acrobatic flights offered spectacular images and The Tracks and "The Awakening of the Silence" put the musical note in an enclosure framed by a unique natural environment.
The swim cruise, organized by the Club Master Murcia, culminated a magical weekend in which the Madrid fans could also enjoy the victory of their team in the Champions League final thanks to the screens installed next to the area where the "food trucks" offered their best snacks.
The mayor, Alicia Jiménez, and Patricio Sánchez, Councilor for Sports and Celebrations, handed out the trophies to the winners of the different categories of the 2nd Beach Crossing of the Island, which ended up with the full poster in number of entries.
200 swimmers finally took the start, doubling the previous year's participation.
Feria Ibicenca, children's activities, parades and balloon captive were other attractions.
