The new government delegate joins the nonsense by sending more than 40 civil guards with nocturnal and treachery to evict the child.
The regional leadership of IU-Greens has denounced, through its head of Organization Victoria Rodríguez, the total inaction of both the regional government and the municipal government of Mazarrón, both of the PP, before the eviction of a child suffering from a rare disease, and his mother, which is a flagrant breach of the Housing Law of the Region of Murcia in Article 59.6 which requires public administrations to guarantee, in any case, the adequate rehousing of persons and family units in a situation of risk of residential exclusion that are in the process of being evicted from their habitual residence in order to make eviction effective.
Victoria Rodríguez, said that "the eviction carried out this morning also violates the most basic rights of protection for children expressed in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, of which our country is a signatory."
For IU-Verdes it is totally incomprehensible the device deployed by the Government Delegation through the Civil Guard, which sent more than 40 personnel to the early hours of the morning when the time scheduled by the court order was 8:30 am. morning.
"If this is the sensitivity that is going to show the new delegate of the Government, Diego Conesa, to the problems of social exclusion suffered by citizens of our region, making disproportionate use of force and not worrying about knowing the real situation of a eviction that violates the regional laws, in IU-Verdes we take note of this and we guarantee a strong opposition to denounce these behaviors ".
From IU-Greens we urge the regional and municipal government of Mazarrón to take the necessary measures as a matter of urgency that give immediate fulfillment to what is set forth in article 59.6 of the Housing Law and guarantee a dignified roof for this minor and her mother.
