The counselor of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, and members of its management team met Thursday with the mayor, Alicia Jiménez, and groups of the municipality in the first Open Management Council.
This initiative is part of the first Open Government Plan of the Region of Murcia that reinforces the mechanisms of communication, participation and evaluation among citizens and public administrations through 92 actions spread over seven strategic axes.
The objectives of the plan are to strengthen public confidence in institutions, improve accountability and evaluation mechanisms, guarantee the right of access to public information, encourage the participation of citizens in public affairs, and promote institutional collaboration in Open Government policies, generate more opportunities for job creation and economic growth with Open Data and promote a culture of transparency and participation.
Representatives of the Association of People with Physical Disabilities of Mazarrón (ADIMA) and the Association of the Elderly of the Mazarrón Day Center have taken advantage of the meeting to notify their demands.
