Registration until September 30 in the Department of Sports |

The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the Councilor for Sports, Patricio Sánchez, have presented the new program of the Municipal Sports School for the 2018/2019 academic year.

The offer is extended this time to 18 activities incorporating as a novelty handball, beach volleyball and advanced swimming in the open water swimming channel of the beach of the Paseo Marítimo of Puerto de Mazarrón.

Handball again offered as an activity "after the commitment that has been reached with parents and mothers who have promoted its recovery as a municipal offer of sport." Likewise, beach volleyball and beach soccer will be offered as new disciplines in the new facilities that the City Council has enabled the Sports Complex of the Media Legua, "said the mayor, Alicia Jiménez.

The programming of the Municipal Sports Schools once again affects nautical sports in addition to traditional specialties.

Alicia Jiménez points out that influencing the teaching of sailing, surfing, kayaking or paddle surfing "responds to a commitment of the current government team to promote water sports as a dynamic element of the tourist potential of Mazarrón and its bay"

Registration is now open and will end on September 30.

The beginning of classes will take place on October 1st.

To formalize the registration, those interested should go to the Department of Sports of the City of Mazarrón, located in the Municipal Pavilion of Aceña.

As in previous occasions, a 20% discount will be made for large families and people with disabilities.

Last year a total of almost 700 students were trained in the Municipal Sports Schools.

The offer, during this course includes, in addition to those already mentioned: athletics, basketball, football, indoor football, tennis, paddle tennis, table tennis, skating, bmx cycling, taekwondo, artistic gymnastics and multisport.
