More than a hundred swimmers from all over the country meet this Sunday September 16 in Bolnuevo to participate in a new 'Seaman Challenge'.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with departure on the beach of Bolnuevo against Erosions.
Two tests of 4 and 8.5 kilometers will be carried out, scoring the latter for the Spanish Cup.
The swimmers will travel two circuits between the coves of Bolnuevo, with the Island of Cueva Lobos as a reference, the beach of Bolnuevo and that of Playa Grande.
This event was presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, who highlighted "the bet that the City Council has been making for swimming in open waters, after organizing several swimming trips in recent years and especially after the recent opening of the only canal swim in open water existing in the Region of Murcia and that found on the beach of Puerto de Mazarrón.
The mayor also points out that "with this type of events that are already being organized by the end of the summer, the aim is to deseasonalise the offer and give the local hospitality sector a better performance."
The event is organized by the Master Murcia Swimming Club in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Mazarrón.
