The waters of the Bay of Mazarrón were again the scene of a national competition that attracted participants from all over the country experts in medium and long distance
A total of 119 swimmers completed this Sunday the two open water crossings organized by the Murcia Master Swimming Club and the Mazarrón City Council.
The tests, with the denomination 'Desafío Seaman', of 4 and 7.5 kilometers gathered experts of medium and long distance participants coming from different clubs of the country.
The competition took place in the waters of the beaches of Bolnuevo and Playa Grande.
The 7.5 km crossing (initially of 8.5 but finally reduced by one kilometer) was won by Eduardo Marrero of UCAM CN Fuensanta, who completed the course in a time of 1:46:34.
The second and third places in this journey went to Daniel Pla and Ismael Aguado.
While Soraya Pérez de Albacete Masters Swimming was the first classified (5th in the general) in the female category.
This 7.5 kilometer test was scoring for the Spanish Cup.
Santiago Roja from the Carmona Swimming Club was the first to arrive after traveling the 4 kilometer crossing at 0:51:59.
Ana Mancera and Raúl Campoy obtained the second and third place.
The awards ceremony took place in the Esplanade of the Erosions of Bolnuevo and was attended by the Councilor for Sports, Patricio Sánchez.
