Coordinators of Road Education of the Provincial Traffic Headquarters visit last week the centers of Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarron to give lectures that have an impact on the prevention of pedestrian accidents.
The activity, as in previous years, "has a good reception among a sector of the population that by age and other variables is more vulnerable than others", as indicated by María Úbeda, one of the coordinators of the activity .
Isabel María López, local police councilor, stressed "the importance of talks that provide valuable advice to our seniors in their travels, mainly as pedestrians."
The reduction of physical conditions or the taking of medications are factors that can influence the reflexes of the elderly.
This activity is coordinated in Mazarrón by the Road Safety Officer of the Local Police, Magdalena Valverde.
