The association of help to people in need with headquarters in Mazarrón 'Making a Difference' has donated 5 wheelchairs and 3 walkers to the Social Services of the City Council.
The mayor, Alicia Jiménez and the councilor for Social Policy, Laura Oritz, visited the headquarters of this organization to thank their staff for the collaboration and selfless help they provide to people at risk of social exclusion.
Jiménez recalled that associations such as 'Making a Difference' serve to channel the social attention that the City Council manages.
This association has also collaborated in the High Risk Families Program, delivering books and school material to minors for a value of 3,500 euros.
In other cases they have been facilitated to the users that the Council of Social Policy transacts basic attentions materialized in the purchase of medicines, in the access to glasses or dental prostheses.
'Making a Difference' tells the Sierra Espuña street of Puerto de Mazarrón with a second-hand shop.
The money that they raise in this place, in the markets that they carry out or in charity parties, increases the help that allows reaching more vulnerable users.
