Daniel José Aragón, municipal civil protection technician of Mazarrón and trainer of the Red Cross, has intervened the recent international congress of prevention of drowning 'Ciprea 2018' which has been held in the town of Benalmádena in Malaga.
The meeting brought together 200 specialists from 16 countries on three continents.
The Mazarron exposed the advantages offered by the use of kayak as a means of rescue.
Aragón was one of the only two representatives of town halls in Spain and one of the six national members of the Spanish Red Cross.
The use of the kayak for the rescue tasks takes 18 years of implementation in Mazarrón and is a personal project of Daniel Aragón.
El Ciprea is organized by the Royal Spanish Salvage and Lifeguard Federation.
In this meeting the latest developments in the field are announced and scientific contributions are made to prevent drowning.
