The Cultural Ornithological Association of Mazarrón in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the City of Mazarrón and the Popular University has organized the Ornithological Contest Villa de Mazarrón that will take place between the 24th and 28th of October in the hall of the Cultural Center.
The event was presented by Francisco Aznar, organizer, and by the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez.
It is planned the participation of 300 copies in an appointment that is born to consolidate itself as a reference ornithological activity in the Region of Murcia.
Francisco Aznar has recommended a visit to a contest in which curious birds and highly valued breeding specimens will be shown.
The Ornithological Cultural Association of Mazarrón was created two years ago and now has about 40 members.
The ornithological hobby in the municipality comes from several decades ago and among those who were dedicated to it was Mariano Faura Bernal, an ornithologist who died last August and to whom the contest is dedicated in memoriam.
The inauguration of the Villa de Mazarrón Ornithological Contest will take place on Wednesday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m.
From Thursday to Saturday the exhibition can be visited, as well as on the morning of Sunday, October 28, the day of closure.
The delivery of trophies is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
